The challenge for this resource centre was to create a fun yet mature space for both guardians and children to enjoy. Niches were used to inspire imagination and while allowing the children to bring the space to life. Careful accents of colour coupled with lots of storage, present a clean tidy space for the adults utilizing the space.
Optimal sight-lines throughout the open play area allow one guardian
to easily keep track of multiple children. Resource centre availability
was maintained by using a 2-week downtime for the main
construction. The client was so pleased with the successful
renovation they later returned when ready to refresh other
daycare locations.

We developed the Leslie Street Paint brand from logo ideation, to online presence, and further to built environment. It was important
that Leslie Street Paint stands apart but also compliments
Benjamin Moore.
Branding within the interior environment makes the Leslie Street Paint brand prevalent and brings focus to the POS/ tinting area.

Result:
Inspiration was taken from the stores’ unique locations to develop a modern rustic atmosphere that the residents of the base would appreciate. Natural materials were incorporated into simplistic yet durable fixtures.

Fortunately, the design team was able to participate in the grand opening which was an outstanding turnout and success. An entirely
new fixture program has been developed and now ready to
rollout into stores across Canada.

Each Aspire lounge is unique to it’s location. Inspiration for the Calgary lounges came from the surrounding vistas. Incorporating large scenic murals and materials that reflective the surrounding nature.
Versatility was important in the lounge as this space caters to
various clientele. Possible activities included work, entertainment, dinning, and rest. Beginning with the loudest area near the entry;
the entertainment area has local news/sports and a large
community table. As you progress further into the lounge there
are work pods and eventually the snooze stations for resting.

This location was the introduction of the Aspire Lounges
to the North American market where the brand has been
well received. Paving the way for Aspire to expand
further across North America.

Result:
A value engineered program producing similar aesthetic as the A-level program for different budget brackets. This design direction was successfully rolled-out for 5 locations throughout the United States.
