I’ve always had an interest in interior design - programming/ space planning in my head since I was a child! Interior Design has the ability to make or break everyday routines and affect the mood of the environment user. Whether they will spend 1 hr, 8 hrs, or 12+ hours in the space, it is important that the environment works with the user not against them. Majority of our time is spent indoors so I like to think of interior design as my contribution to improve someone’s day.
I have refined my skills at DMD - Design Making a Difference in Toronto. I’m responsible for coordinating small projects and being a part of the production team on larger projects. Frequent tasks include but are not limited to production drawings, compiling specifications, creating sample boards, project ideation from bubble plans through to production drawings, and liaising with engineers, consultants, landlords, clients, and suppliers. In my spare time I’m currently studying to complete my NCIDQ certification.
